Pengaruh Psychosocial Safety Climate dan Learning Agility terhadap Work Engagement pada Karyawan Generasi Z
Abstract
This study aims to determine the effect of Psychosocial safety climate (PSC) and Learning agility on Work engagement in Generation Z employees working in Central Java. Generation Z is a productive age group that currently dominates the workforce, but often experiences challenges in work engagement due to rapidly changing environmental demands. PSC as an employee's perception of the organization's psychosocial safety climate, and Learning agility as an individual's ability to learn and adapt in new situations, are thought to contribute to increased work engagement. This study uses a quantitative method with a correlational approach. The sampling technique used accidental sampling with a total of 140 respondents belonging to Generation Z and working in various sectors in Central Java. The research instrument consisted of three scales, namely the PSC scale (12 items), Learning agility (8 items), and Work engagement (9 items). The results of multiple linear regression analysis showed that simultaneously PSC and Learning agility had a significant effect on Work engagement (R² = 0.536, p < 0.05). Partial tests showed that both independent variables significantly influenced Work engagement individually. These findings confirm that creating a psychologically safe work climate and supporting the development of adaptive skills are key to increasing the work engagement of Generation Z. Therefore, companies are advised to strengthen PSC policies and support adaptive learning as an effort to improve the performance and retention of young employees.
